From 2025 the Interlift fair will be held in Nuremberg

 In News

While the interlift 2023 is still in the starting blocks, there is already a new date and a new location for the next world’s leading trade fair for the lift industry in 2025. The next Interlift will take place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 14 to 17 October 2025.

The spatial relocation of the trade fair opens up new possibilities for the further development of the event. Nuremberg as the new home of the fair is already presenting itself at this year’s interlift in Hall 2 and is giving the industry a warm welcome.  The VFA-Interlift e.V., as the professional sponsor of the trade fair, and the organiser AFAG will remain unchanged.

The Association for Lift Technology VFA-Interlift, as the professional sponsor of the trade fair, and the interlift organiser AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen made the decision for the new location together, in consultation with the trade fair advisory board.

Interlift  brings together over 500 exhibitors in 2023 to present their innovations and products to guests from all over the world. Around 18,000 visitors from Germany and abroad are expected on the four days of the trade fair.

“This decision was not easy for us. Augsburg has been a committed and competent partner of the Interlift since 1991. With the move to Nuremberg we are setting the course for the further development of the Interlift, which is not given at the current location. We are already looking forward to welcoming the lift world 2025 in Nuremberg, with the proven concept but new potential,” says Achim Hütter, Chairman of VFA-Interlift e.V.

Nuremberg becomes the new home of Interlift

Messe Nürnberg is one of the TOP 15 in the world and offers an ideal infrastructure for exhibitors and visitors. The interlift 2025 is housed in Halls 1 to 5 and is connected to the two large entrance areas and congress centres NCC Ost and NCC Mitte, which with numerous rooms and halls offer a wide range of possibilities for lectures, meetings and supporting events.

The Exhibition Centre Nuremberg is very easy to reach both by car and by train or via the international airport. From Nuremberg airport, the exhibition centre can be reached by underground in 25 minutes, and from the main railway station in just eight minutes. The wide range of hotels in the city of Nuremberg and in the well-connected surrounding area ensures that there are sufficient hotel beds available even at trade fair times.

For more than 30 years the Augsburg Trade Fair Centre contributed to the fact that the interlift was able to develop into the world’s leading trade fair and that exhibitors were also able to show their elaborate presentations and innovations from the lift industry there. The trade fair location Augsburg and the Free State of Bavaria have always promoted the development of international trade fairs, which is why it was a matter of concern for both the VFA-Interlift and the organising company AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH that the interlift should remain in Bavaria.

AFAG Managing Directors Henning and Thilo Könicke see good opportunities for the future development of the interlift in Nuremberg: “The interlift has grown up in Augsburg. Both the Augsburg Trade Fair Centre and the city and district of Augsburg have provided the interlift with a good home for many years and welcomed guests from all over the world with open arms. The industry has felt very much at home here, yet the move has now become necessary in order to meet increased demands. It is important for us that the interlift retains its home in Bavaria, also in order to continue to ensure proximity for the numerous southern European exhibitors and visitors.”

About the interlift

The interlift has been held every two years in Augsburg since 1991 and presents lifts, components and accessories. For the industry, the trade fair is always a highlight and an important source of inspiration, as new products and innovations from various sectors are presented here and the entire industry meets here in person. The interlift started in Augsburg in 1991 with around 300 exhibitors and almost 14,000 visitors. The growth of the event has continued steadily until 2019, with around 20,000 visitors from all over the world regularly coming to discover the offerings of the 600 international exhibitors.
