The Swedish investment company AB Latour in early 2024 acquired, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Latour Industries AB, 100 per cent of the shares of BS Tableau GmbH, based in Zülpich, Germany.

BS Tableau is a German company (founded in 1995) and a leading manufacturer of lift components. The company produces and sells customised components for lift cabins and a wide range of electronic components to lift operators and OEMs, mainly for modernisation projects. Net sales amount to around EUR 6 million, the majority of which is sold on the German market. The company has 40 employees. The acquisition of BS Tableau follows other acquisitions made by the Swedish investment company in recent years in the vertical transport sector. The Italian companies Vega, Vimec and EsseTi are also part of the holding company.

As an effect of the acquisition, the Latour Group’s net debt (excluding IFRS 16) increases to almost SEK 11.8 billion, compared to the level of net debt at the end of September 2023, on a like-for-like basis.

Latour Industries consists of a number of companies, each with its own business model. The ambition is to develop the companies into new independent business areas within the Latour Group. Latour Industries has an aggregate annual turnover of SEK 4 billion. Investment AB Latour is a mixed investment company consisting mainly of a wholly owned industrial business and an investment portfolio of listed equity investments in which Latour is the principal owner or one of the principal owners. The investment portfolio consists of ten major participations with a market value of approximately SEK 76 billion. The wholly owned industrial activities have an annual turnover of SEK 26 billion.
