The opening press conference of Interlift 2023 was held on the morning of 17 October.

On this occasion, the programme of the VFA Forum, starting in the afternoon of 17 October, was presented, as well as all the speakers who will animate it. Here is the Programme.

Then came the greetings of the representatives of the numerous international associations taking part in this year’s Interlift: Roberto Zappa for ELA, TAK Mathews for India (EECMAI), representatives of the Chinese association, Massimo Bezzi for Efesme, representatives of Anacam and Gianni Robertelli for Anica.

Achim Hutter and Roberto Zappa then took the floor and gave an overview of the sector in Europe. A sector, that of vertical transport, which sees 6 million active lifts in Europe, with a very good number of employees. Escalators are also on the rise.

With regard to accidents, of the 460 cases reported by Hutter, 156 concern escalators in service. A figure that gives one pause for thought and leads one to recommend great care.

The conference was attended by a large audience in the hall.
