WEG Italian manufacturing unit

WEG Automation Europe is part of the AUTOMATION Business Unit of the WEG Group.
In the plant in Gerenzano (Varese) a few kilometres from Milan in Italy,
inverters and low voltage converters for AC and DC motor control are designed, industrialised and produced.

OUR ELEVATOR PORTFOLIO

The spotlight of WEG’s Elevator portfolio is the ADL500 elevator drive, a new technology that fuses innovation, efficiency and safety.
This drive is available in three models, the ADL510, ADL530 and the ADL550.
The ADL510 is best suited to asynchronous motors typical of low-rise buildings or modernisation in open and close loop.
The ADL530 is suitable for both asynchronous and synchronous motors and features additional technology such as an on-board
universal encoder interface and improved communication.
The ADL550 is the most technologically advanced of the 3 options and is the most sophisticated elevator inverter from WEG.
Among the highlights of the ADL550 is the integration of new safety features. Functionalities include several new brake
management tools, such as safe brake test (SBT) to check the motor brakes effectively and safe brake control (SBC)
with EBC500 accessory to replace electro-mechanical brakes control with electronics.

EXTENSIVE COMMUNICATION CAPABILITIES

Another important improvement of the ADL500 drive is its extensive communication capabilities.
The drive is seamless integrated through WiFi and Ethernet and can be monitored and configured via WEG Liftouch app,
available for laptops and mobile devices.
