Caltech Lifts, the oldest independent lift and stairlift company in Scotland, was named Dundee’s (Scotland, UK) best family business of the year in the Courier Business Awards 2023 last October, just days after celebrating its 45th anniversary. The company was founded in 1978 by engineer Howard Renwick and is now run by his sons Andrew and Fraser.

The jury chose Caltech Lifts as the winner because it has maintained its growth plan to increase turnover, profits and staff at record levels, despite the colossal challenge of Covid’s restrictions, by focusing strictly on delivering high quality services, products and values.
