Albert T. So, BSc (Eng), MPhil, PhD, CEng, FCIBSE, FIMechE, FSOE, MIET, RPE, MHKIE has been working as a researcher and consultant in vertical transportation for over 30 years.

He is now Honorary Visiting Professor with the Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology of The University of Northampto in the area of lift engineering and Scientific Advisor and Executive Committee Member of International Association of Elevator Engineers (IAEE).

He has produced more than 450 articles in international journals, magazines and conference proceedings, related to elevator engineering. He is also chairing the Working Group to compile and review the part on lift and escalator installations within the Building Energy Code of HKSAR Government.
