After a long career in the elevator industry and association world, Wolfgang Adldinger (consultant and board member of VFA Iterlift) retired at the end of 2023. Thus, from its institutional pages, VFA-Interlift e.V. breaks the news: ‘Since 2018, Mr. Adldinger has supported us on the board with his expertise and helpfulness and has always been a valued colleague and friend. We thank him for his valuable contribution and wish him all the best and a good time in his retirement!” Contacted by Elevators Magazine, Adldinger commented: “It’s time to move on to other things, if possible, and make way for the next generation.

Elevator industry has given me the opportunity to develop professionally, both nationally and

internationally, and to become the person I am today.

In this long time, I have met many nice, wonderful, passionate and competent people. I would like to thank

them all very much for their cooperation.

I will miss the industry and especially the fantastic people who work for this elevator industry.

Life is lived forwards and understood backwards.”
