A great 2024… and the best is still to come

Editor’s note published in Elevatori Magazine 6/2024
2024 is about to conclude and I am very satisfied and proud of what Elevatori Magazine has achieved, thanks to the help of everyone: the editorial staff, the contributors, the technical committee. Here I would like to retrace the steps of this incredible year, which will be a prelude to an even more important 2025.
In the first months of this year, we received the recognition of Historical Trademark, awarded by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy to Elevatori Magazine, for its lifespan of over 50 years, for its high technical-scientific value and for the diffusion of Made in Italy in 62 countries around the world, also through the presence in its pages of advertisements of Italian manufacturers of lift components. In this direction, we continued with the dissemination of Elevatori Magazineʼs historical archive (which contains the digital version of all issues from 1972 to the present day). A unique archive in the Italian panorama on the history of lifts, which can be consulted by anyone.
Thatʼs not all. We have founded Elevatori Club, the first super partes space for all those who want to deal with lift issues, and can write to club@elevatorimagazine.eu. It is a reality in which we believe a lot to develop knowledge in our sector and to create a network. There are around one million lifts in operation in Italy. So we can imagine how many millions of people take the lift every day and how many would like to say something on the subject, express ideas, comments, suggestions, which will find a place in Elevatori Magazineʼs ‘Club’ column, like the Corseraʼs ‘Lo dico al Corriere’ column.
And again: we have formed a partnership with Anapic (Italian Association of Professional Building and Condominium Managers, chaired by Lucia Rizzi), which has offered us support so that the magazine is also read by a new audience and has asked to collaborate with Elevatori Magazine because it intends to focus on the training of all condominium managers and aspiring ones. In the first place it places knowledge of all lift problems, in view of the large number of operations to replace components, renovate, modernise with new technologies the systems that must also, in part, comply with new regulations. The two parties involved (condominium managers and lift operators) know that Elevatori Magazine is a super partes and highly experienced information organ.
For the past few months we have also been focusing on our social channels, especially Linkedin, to make people more aware of lift and accessibility. And we will continue on this path precisely because we believe that together with the magazine there is a need to broaden the horizon of communication, also through social media, which become a vehicle for news about the world of the lift.
Finally, we are entering into an agreement with Amazon to distribute our ʻHow it worksʼ series, consisting of manuals that are very important for the culture and in-depth analysis of our sector (for now there are six, but we are already working on the seventh), useful tools for the professional updating of the many technicians in the sector and for the training of new recruits. It will therefore be easier to purchase these volumes with just a click.
Finally, this year there were five new additions to the Technical Committee of Elevatori Magazine (plus a sixth you will find in the pages of this issue), personalities from associations and institutions that have the task of monitoring the safety of installations in vertical transport, as well as figures linked to production and operators in the sector.
So many important milestones! I would like to thank everyone for their achievements. I wish you all you all a wonderful 2025 of health, love, peace and knowledge.
