THE ISO 8100-1 STANDARD

Elevatori Magazine, starting with issue no. 2/2022, hosted a series of articles written by Giovanni Varisco on the ISO 8100-1 standard, which is part of the new ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) standards whose aim is to establish a unified body of standards that is valid worldwide.

Below is a list of the topics covered in each issue of Elevatori Magazine.

• In issue No. 2/2022, with the article ‘From the Arctic to the Antarctic’, the author introduced the ISO Standard concept, citing them by title (article: From the Arctic to the Antarctic, pages 66-69).
• In issue No. 3/2022, the discussion of Standard 8100-1 began with some general and introductory remarks (article: The future standard 8100-1, Part 1, pages 62 – 65).
• In issue No. 4/2022, the following topics were addressed: the scope of the Standard, the reference standards and definitions (article: The future standard 8100-1, Part 2, pages 58 – 61).

• In issue No. 1/2023, the following were discussed: conformity documentation, compliance with technical elements, design verification, checks and tests prior to commissioning, instruction manual and booklet (article: The future standard 8100-1, Part 5, pages 60 – 63).
