 In News

Mition GmbH Mitelstandsbeteiligungen, venture capital and private equity companies, is acquiring Detlef Klinkhammer Steuerungen und Komponenten für Aufzüge GmbH (KLST). With this transaction, Mition is expanding its portfolio to include a well-established provider of control systems, switchgear, and components for elevators. At the same time, the private equity firm is facilitating a successor solution for the medium-sized family business.

KLST was founded in 1989 by Detlef Klinkhammer. At its headquarter in Zülpich (North Rhine-Westphalia), the company with around 60 employees develops and
manufactures custom elevator control systems, from simplified freight elevators to complex group controls for new construction and modernisation.

KLSTʼs clients include nearly all major elevator manufacturers. In the last financial year 2024, KLST generated a turnover of about 16 million euros, of which about 20 per cent came from abroad.

Zülpich employees will not be affected by the share transition.
