Big party for Lombardini22’s 15th anniversary at the FuoriSalone on 9 June.

An informal evening to bring together the entire community that revolves around the design studio founded 15 years ago, which opened its work spaces to the vast audience of guests for the occasion.

Wow effect, already at the entrance, for a huge model faithfully reproducing Lombardini22’s environments, made entirely of Lego bricks.

The author of the project is Andrea Del Sordo, consultant and safety engineer at Lombardini22. A Lego enthusiast, he developed the project and built it using 89648 pieces in total.

The fully playable model measures 5.5 square metres and took 2000 hours of planning and a team of seven people, in addition to Andrea, to complete.

Elevatori Magazine is also present at the Lombardini22 party with issue 3/2022, dedicated entirely to the role of vertical transport within the building. In addition to an interview with Juri Franzosi, Lombardini22’s managing director, and an extensive report on Interlift 2022, the issue is enriched by an article by Gina Barney on the rated capacity and maximum usable area of the cabin; an example of how inclusive design can be taught in universities through elevators written by Valentina Giacometti of the University of Pavia, and a detailed explanation of the VT Consultant’s contribution to design written by Stella Uberti, who works in this profession at Arup.

Lombardini22 expands, with the spirit of a start-up

An interview with Juri Franzosi, General Manager of Lombardini22

An open dialogue, under the banner of a common study of current issues for the construction sector. This is the spirit with which Elevatori Magazine met Juri Franzosi, general manager of Lombardini22, an architecture company (but not only) based in Milan. This year, the company, which has an international flair, celebrates its fifteenth anniversary and has already reached some very significant milestones during its time in business.

It was established in 2007 on the initiative of six professionals, all having different backgrounds but who shared the same vision in terms of work and the same values (respect, esteem and
attention to the customer). Today, Lombardini22 is a community made up of over 350 people including architects, engineers, designers and communication and marketing specialists.

The average age 35. A heterogeneity of professional profiles that brings a multiplicity of points of view regarding the construction sector, traits that emerge strongly in the firm’s projects and that
contribute to the success of the company.

During the meeting with Juri Franzosi, the main themes of the Company emerged, the links and possible contaminations with people who, like us, deal with a series of very specific systems and which are of strategic importance in buildings such as vertical transport; for example, elevators, escalators and moving walkways.
