The Trustees are delighted to announce that the annual Lift & Escalator Symposium will take place online on 22nd and 23rd September 2021.

The 2020 symposium was very successful having been forced online by the restrictions placed upon us because of the COVID pandemic and this year we will be back online because the end of the COVID restrictions remain uncertain if another variant takes hold and, we are sad to hear that Highgate House Hotel has gone into receivership. Highgate has been our home for many years as you are aware, and the Trustees are seeking a new venue for the 2022 event where we hope to meet socially once again.

This year each day will start with a keynote speaker setting the theme, followed by a papers addressing a specialist topic.  This will be followed by a panel discussion with a team of international experts.  The theme for day 1 is accidents and safety, and for day 2 is modernisation.

Registration will open shortly, and you will be able to book for one or both days. I encourage you to book your tickets quickly after the announcement is made as places will be limited.
