Giovenzana, door bypass devices
Standard EN 81-20 / EN 81-50 regulates that, for the maintenance of landing doors, cabin doors and locking contacts, a bypass device shall be provided in or near the switchboard.
The device shall be a switch protected against unintentional use by permanently installed movable mechanical means (e.g. a safety cover or hood).
Bypass devices are identifiable by the word “BYPASS” written on them or in their vicinity and the contacts to be bypassed must be identified on the wiring diagram (or alternatively with the dedicated pictogram).
