A vision for a more sustainable and inclusive sector

T he coming months’ agenda offers two important events for our sector: Interlift, to be held in Nuremberg (Germany) from 14 to 17 October, and GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition, to be held in Milan (Italy) from 19 to 21 November. These two international trade fairs are not just showcases for products and technologies, but real opportunities for discussion, capable of highlighting trends in the vertical transport sector.

Elevatori Magazine will be present at both events to observe closely and report on how companies are interpreting the new challenges facing the sector.
We expect to see not only new products, but also strategies, visions and partnerships capable of redefining the role of vertical transport in a society that demands innovative solutions to meet complex needs: better living, safe movement, reduced environmental impact and more inclusive cities.

Our magazine will also contribute with its own editorial piece, ‘How it works 7 – Sustainability’, a series dedicated to one of the most pressing and stimulating issues of our time.
The seventh volume of the ‘How it works’ series was created with the aim of showing how technology and ingenuity can make a difference.

We describe concrete solutions, virtuous examples and innovative practices that are making our sector “greener”.
Interlift and GEE are therefore an opportunity for Elevatori Magazine to renew its mission as a bridge between industry, professionals and the public. Our commitment is to report on the changes taking place, to give voice to the best experiences and to stimulate debate.

This is a mission that our magazine has always pursued, as demonstrated by the Round Table held on July 10 at the Politecnico di Milano, conceived as a regular and permanent event to discuss and find concrete solutions to the problem of lift modernisation, a very topical and urgent issue.

For this reason, I wanted to publish the policy document for this new project, which aims to involve not only experts in our sector, but also those involved in the construction and management of buildings, as well as lift users.
