Sao Paolo Connecting People was  held on November 19th in São Paulo, Brazil. It is the fourth edition of the initiative that a series of Italian companies have created to raise awareness of the excellence of Made in Italy in the world. Between 2018 and 2019, Connecting People was held in Dubai, Istanbul and Moscow. The protagonists of this stage are Gefran, Giovenzana, IGV, Montanari and Vega.

This meeting is focused on EN 81-20/EN 81-50 European standards and on the Brazilian ones to be applied soon. The development of the ABNT NBR NM 207-267 is actually aimed at improving safety, both for users and technicians in charge of the lift maintenance. The Italian products already comply with the standards which are going to be harmonized worldwide and adopted in the countries where these meetings take place.

The Connecting People philosophy

Promoting the excellence of the “Made in Italy” lift industry with a special focus on the most recent sector regulations. This is the main factor driving the “Connecting People – Italian Excellence Lifts the world” meetings: a new philosophy for market interaction promoted by the participating companies.

Organized by some of the most important Italian companies manufacturing high quality components for the lift and escalator market, the partnership event aims at establishing lasting relationships with local players to create mutual added value.
Each company will guide the participants in an innovative way, through real cases, showing that the enforcement of the new regulations is a business opportunity on the international market.

10.00 – 10.15 am: intervention on the technical standards of the Brazilian association ABNT (L’Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas)
