The Elevatori Magazine editorial team is pleased to announce that engineer Claudio Donghi has joined the magazineʼs Technical Committee. A professional with extensive experience in the vertical transport sector, Donghi brings with him a wealth of technical and regulatory expertise that will further enrich the Committeeʼs work.

Thanks to his extensive experience in sustainability issues, he has accepted the role of Technical Supervisor of ʻHow it works 7 – Sustainabilityʼ, the new volume in the ʻHow it worksʼ series to be released in October 2025 (for more information, see page 56 of this issue of Elevatori Magazine).

Claudio Donghi is a member of the UNI/CT 019 ʻLifts, goods lifts, escalators and similar equipmentʼ and ISO/TC178/WG10 ʻEnergy Efficiencyʼ committees.

He is a member of ANIE AssoAscensori (Italian Association of Lifts and Escalators) and ELA (European Lift Association), where he is the Convenor of the SAEL (ʻSafety, Accessibility and Energy efficiency in existing Liftsʼ) Working Group and Liaison Officer with ISO TC 268 and CEN TC 465 ʻSustainable cities and Communitiesʼ. Donghi is also a member of several ELA committees and working groups for lifts and escalators.

After graduating in mechanical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, he joined Kone Corporation in 2002, where he held various technical and managerial positions in the R&D team on ecoefficiency and in the innovation department.

He is currently the Global Environmental Code Manager at Kone Corporation. With this new collaboration, Elevatori Magazine confirms its mission: to offer quality content and open discussion between experts, companies and institutions, with a focus on innovation and safety.
