‘The future of electrical systems‘: the first of the CEI 2026 conferences dedicated to the evolution of technical standards in the era of new technologies and artificial intelligence was held in Milan on 28 January. This is the first stop on a tour of 10 meetings in the first six months of 2026.

The conference, a unique opportunity to get a preview of regulatory and technological developments for operating in a workmanlike manner, provided an update on technical and regulatory developments in the era of AI and new technologies, with a focus on the impact of digital innovation, fire safety, the design and process of connecting photovoltaic systems to the grid, and the specific features of electrical equipment in machines.
