ANIE AssoAscensori: Forzinetti
re-elected as President
The ANIE AssoAscensori General Meeting held on 28 May 2026 re-elected Bruno Forzinetti, confirming him as President of the Association for the two-year term 2026–2028.
On the Association’s thirtieth anniversary, accessibility, safety, innovation and digital transition remain at the heart of the Presidency’s commitment.
The renewal of the mandate comes at a strategic moment for the sector, which is called upon to respond to the challenges of accessibility in the building stock, urban regeneration, energy sustainability and the digitalisation of systems, without neglecting the issue of safety for staff and users.

Bruno Forzinetti, born in Milan in 1965 (Legal Representative and Partner of Forzinetti Ascensori in Bresso, Milan, the family business operating in the lift sector), has built up extensive experience over the years in the vertical transport sector, playing an active role in the sector’s main trade association and institutional activities.
During Forzinetti’s previous term of office, ANIE AssoAscensori strengthened its dialogue with the institutions on the main regulatory and fiscal issues of interest to the sector, promoting initiatives dedicated to the removal of architectural barriers and the modernisation of the national lift fleet. According to CRESME analyses of ISTAT data commissioned by the Association, over 770,000 residential buildings with four or more storeys across Italy still lack a lift, whilst a significant proportion of existing lifts are over 30 years old and require modernisation in terms of safety, energy efficiency, accessibility and digital connectivity.
ANIE AssoAscensori’s commitment to accessibility, innovation and sustainable vertical mobility was also at the heart of the celebrations marking the Association’s 30th anniversary, held last April with an event hosted at the Museum of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pavia, an opportunity to reflect on the strategic role of vertical mobility in the evolution of contemporary cities, highlighting the Association’s achievements in supporting regulatory, technological and cultural innovation within the sector by promoting quality, safety and dialogue with institutions.
“The renewal of my mandate represents a significant responsibility for me at a time of transformation for the sector,” said Bruno Forzinetti. “Over the next two years, we will continue to work to ensure that accessibility becomes a structural priority for the country, supporting the necessary modernisation of Italy’s building and plant infrastructure, and working to accelerate the renewal of older systems that still lack the most advanced solutions in terms of safety, energy efficiency and digitalisation, with implications for the energy consumption of buildings and, consequently, of households.”
Vertical mobility, as a key element not only for the comfort of buildings but also for people’s quality of life, social inclusion and the sustainability of cities, will also be the focus of an exhibition dedicated to vertical transport systems, scheduled for this autumn at the Museum of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pavia and subsequently in Santiago, Chile. The project, launched as part of the initiatives marking the 30th anniversary, aims to raise public awareness of the social, cultural and urban value of lifts and vertical transport systems.
“Over the two-year period 2026–2028,” concluded the President, “ANIE AssoAscensori will continue its dialogue with institutions and all stakeholders in the sector to support the regulatory, technological and cultural evolution of the industry, highlighting Italian industrial expertise and promoting innovation, safety, energy efficiency and digitalisation as strategic levers for the sector’s competitiveness.”
ANIE AssoAscensori is the association within the ANIE Federation that brings together companies active in the design, manufacture of systems and components, installation, repair and maintenance of lifts, goods lifts, escalators and moving walkways, stairlifts and lifting platforms.
