Architecture, lifts and accessibility
The third edition of the conference “Beyond the square and the X – Lifts in architecture”, organised by the IUAV University in Venice, in collaboration with Anica, Anacam and Anie-AssoAscensori lift associations, was held on 19th December 2017 in the Aula Magna Tolentini and was attended by more than one hundred professionals from the lift sector and University students.
The conference day was coordinated and chaired by Dario Trabucco and Elena Giacomello, teachers at IUAV. The theoretical and practical case studies of the relationship between architecture and lifts were analysed. The morning session of the conference ended with a round table, chaired by professor Aldo Norsa (IUAV) and also attended by Daniele Pavan (Thyssenkrupp); Michele Mazzarda (Anacam); Alessandro Roversi (Schindler) and Paolo Vicini (Anica).
The conference was the occasion for an early launch of the book “The Accessible World” by Volpe Editore (Vignate, Milan – Italy) and Elevatori Magazine editorial staff, one of the conference media partners.
