ANIE has published the Environmental Product Declarations Guide
To present the new ANIE Guide to Environmental Product Declarations, ANIE (the Italia Federation of Electrical and Electronic Industries) organised an online event held on 4 March 2026 in Milan. Participation in the webinar was free of charge and restricted to members, with registration required via an online form.

It was an opportunity to discuss the new guidance document drawn up by ANIE, which serves as a tool for transparently communicating the environmental impact of products, in line with the UNI EN ISO 14020 standards.
The growing focus on the environmental performance of products, explained the event organisers, makes it essential for companies to have clear, transparent and recognised tools to communicate the impact of their goods and services.
In this context, environmental labels or declarations, governed by the UNI EN ISO 14020 series of standards, represent a fundamental reference point for ensuring reliable information throughout the value chain.
The aim of the event was therefore to present the new ANIE Guidance Document on the main types of environmental labels, with in-depth analysis of the three categories set out in international standards.
Focus on Environmental Declarations
During the meeting, the three main categories of environmental labels required by international standards were outlined. The speakers explored how to ensure reliable information throughout the supply chain, emphasising the importance of EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) for measuring and communicating environmental performance.
The role of EPDs in supporting sustainable decisions for architects, engineers and manufacturers was discussed, based on life cycle assessments (LCA) compliant with standards such as ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
Case Studies and Practical Applications
A significant portion of the event was dedicated to corporate case studies, featuring concrete examples of the drafting, management and use of environmental declarations within the supply chain. These case studies highlighted how EPDs facilitate the optimisation of environmental impacts and carbon transparency.
The event reaffirmed ANIE’s commitment to promoting clear tools for businesses, against a backdrop of growing focus on sustainability.
