Alberto Salvati, his love for the lift and his contribution to the magazine
Dear Director,
your countless optimism is certainly behind the success Elevatori Magazine has been experiencing since its inception.
Founded by your will more than fifty years ago, it immediately distinguished itself for the extensive contribution it made to the lift sector in all its complex functions within the construction industry for all types of use, sizes and heights of buildings of which it was, the lift, the decisive element to literally ‘scratch’ the sky.
But not only that, interest also turned at some point to single-family buildings to make them easily usable, with the introduction of the lift platform that was affordable for everyone.
You talk in your editorial in No. 6/2024 about how much is done in 2024 and how much will be done next year. I don’t know which intervention to give first place to.
The digitalisation of Elevatori from 1972 onwards seems to me of great importance for the historical knowledge within the reach of all those working in the sector: engineers, technicians, architects and related figures for an in-depth knowledge of the system that is not just a system, being a ‘space’ in the architectural space and therefore not just a technical fact but a fact of art.
The historical mark was a recognition that was desired and due also in function of the diffusion of Made in Italy in the world. The Club for Specialists is also an important innovation to broaden the discourse on the sector.
The introduction of social media is a key factor in communication at all levels. As is the expansion of the technical group serving the magazine.
The relationship with the ANAPIC association is also indispensable for adequate and timely maintenance of the large number of lifts in our territory.
To you, best wishes for a continuous progression of commitments and results: lavished and obtained.
Alberto Salvati
